Condition Guide
We at Ozzie don’t like the word secondhand. We believe that the crazy world of Pop! Vinyls is so vast that there’s plenty of room for pre-loved and repurposed Pop! Vinyl figures that are still in great condition and make fantastic additions to any collection. But we also know that ‘mint condition’ is a relative term that may vary from collector to collector. That’s why we’ve created this handy guide to determine the exact box quality of each and every item in our ‘Grails’ collection.
Please note that these estimates are based on close and crucial consideration of box quality only by our dedicated staff. For example, what we consider an 8 might to some be considered a 10, a 6 may be considered a 5, and so on. Our stringent grading system is to determine box quality and does not reflect the quality of the actual Pop! Vinyl figure. Please also refer to our damages policy in our Terms and Conditions for more information.
Below you’ll find a break down of our numerical grading system:-
10 - It is extremely rare that we’ll call a Pop Vinyl a perfect 10, as opinions on ‘mint condition’ do vary so vastly between collectors. That said, a 10 is a Pop with virtually no visible box flaws and would be considered ‘mint’.
9 - A Pop that is just about perfect. May show one or two extremely minor box flaws only visible upon close inspection. Would be considered mint or near mint condition by most collectors.
8 - A Pop which is in great condition. The box may contain one to three minor flaws or minor wear, but is still typically considered to be undamaged and in good condition.
7 - A Pop with some wear visible, the Pop is still in good condition. May exhibit a few minor to moderate box flaws and shelf wear.
6 - A Pop with several moderate flaws or one major flaw present. May affect overall appearance or presentation of the box.
5 - Still somewhat presentable with two or more major box flaws that may make it unsuitable for in-box collectors.
Anything graded lower than a 5 will typically not be sold. For higher priced items/grails, a grading and any available images can be found in the product description. Please direct any questions as to the quality of these items to our support staff (either via Facebook or email) and we will endeavour to get back to you with as much information as possible.
Please keep in mind that the team at Ozzie are comprised of humans, not robots. Our grading system is based on individual judgement and, just like the opinions of collectors vary, our opinions may vary too. We do our best to be as consistent as possible by following this guide when grading our pre-loved Pops. What is considered flawed by one may be considered mint by another. Please carefully read our condition guide and Terms and Conditions if you are unsure about the quality of a box, and don’t hesitate to reach out if we can assist in any way.
